Faith Sullivan (October 1, 1933-) was born in Pipestone, Minnesota. Married to the drama critic Dan Sullivan, she lived between New York and Los Angeles for more than twenty years, returning often to Minnesota, a place that has provided inspiration and setting for some of her best-loved works. She currently lives in Minneapolis where she enjoys gardening, feeding birds, and shopping at flea markets.

Sullivan has been writing novels since the 1980s. Several of her books have been published through Milkweed Editions, a Minneapolis-based literary publisher. Many of her books are set in the 20th century and focus on family and overcoming hardships. Her novels include The Cape Ann, The Empress of One, and Gardenias. Her novel Good Night, Mr. Wodehouse was a Wall Street Journal Best Book of 2015.
