R.D. Zimmerman

R.D. Zimmerman (August 8, 1952-) was born in Chicago but now lives in Minneapolis. His books have been finalists for two Edgar Awards and an Anthony Award. Two of his novels have won Lambda Literary Awards for Gay Mystery. He has published two books under the pen name of Robert Alexander. In addition to books, Zimmerman has published mystery jigsaw puzzles.

Zimmerman writes mystery thrillers including the Todd Mills series and the Alex Phillips series. He has written over fifteen books for adults and children. As Robert Alexander, Zimmerman has published two books in a series about tsarist Russia, The Kitchen Boy: A Novel of the Last Tsar and Rasputin’s Daughter. Some of his other books, published under his own name, include Closet, Tribe, Outburst, Death Trance, and The Cross and the Sickle.
